Our Story
At Mountain Bear Adventures, we believe that hiking is an adventure that should be accessible to everyone. Matthew Cooke started in this industry with the goal to aid people to experience the beauty of nature and to use his skills as a qualified Mountain Leader to furnish people with the skills and confidence to explore and achieve their dreams and goals.
Whether you are looking for a gentle excursion in the hills of the Peak District or if you want to scale the heights of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis or even conquer the Ridge of Crib Goch we can guide you to achieve your goal.
What We Offer
We strive to provide our customers with the best experiences which can be tailored to all ages and abilities offering:
- Guided Walks one on one or as a group in The Peak District, Lake District, Wales, Yorkshire & Scotland.
- Map reading and navigation courses to enable customers to gain more confidence in the outdoors.
- Guided and fully supported Yorkshire Three Peaks, National Three Peaks, Welsh 3000's, Lakeland 3000's.
- Team Building and Corporate Days/Weekend Group Trips.
- Looking for a more challenging hike? We can also offer an introduction to scrambling and options to hike more technical routes.
Meet The Mountain Bear
Matthew Cooke, the founder of Mountain Bear Adventures, is a fully qualified Mountain Leader and is passionate about sharing his love of the outdoors with over 20 years experience travelling all over the world, hiking in Norway & Sweden and also scaling the heights of Kilimanjaro! He is dedicated to helping all customers achieve their goals and to learn new skills. You will be in safe hands!
